Our client offers personalized product information transmitted to cell phones. Their high technology software and internet based solutions are offered through wireless service providers to industries that rely on membership participation. Our client had developed a working prototype and was ready to launch their product internationally. As North Americans are regular participants of membership programs, our client was poised to enter the United States market.

The first challenge for our client was to show potential investors, and particularly venture capitalists, the strong demand for the service, as well as to prove to membership program providers that the addition of their service would increase membership subscriptions.

Our client, already with extended management resources, was also interested in a one stop shop. While in the short term their needs were as described above, they also wanted to find a company that could review their business plan, position it for maximum acceptance, sell it to venture capitalists, and finally quickly establish sales, support and operational teams. Rather than have to train several different groups to perform these tasks separately, and therefore have to repeat product training and product positioning discussions several times, they chose ISD.

Implementation

ISD also performed preliminary market research to initially identify some of the key industry trends and resources for investigation. From these assessments, questions were posed in various formats, and critical questions were asked several times in several ways to assure consistency of participant response.

ISD then integrated survey participant responses into a final report that identified trends, as well as individual answers. We also provided a data set to our client that allowed them to independently analyze and explore data trends. For final validation, all original and in many cases signed studies were bound and given to our client for reference.

Meanwhile, ISD reviewed our clients business plan and offered valuable suggestions for its improvement and to prepare it for review by venture capitalists.
