Recent European Speaking Engagements

Ms. Kari Heistad recently returned from two trips to Europe for speaking engagements. In Ireland she worked with the Society for Incentive Travel Executives - Ireland chapter. This society serves all aspects of the travel industry who work with incentive tours coming from around the world. Her presentation focused on effective business development including leadership skills.

In Greece she presented at the Culture and Media conference which was held in Patras Greece, the 2006 European Cultural Capital. The conference which drew participants from across Europe and from as far away as China focused on how culture impacts all aspects of the media. Kari's presentation highlighted her research into how cultural identity impacts four different aspects of a media story. Her presentation was called "cutting edge" and received a very positive response from the journalists present.
