The Transatlantic Economy 2008

A new report authored by Daniel Hamilton and Joseph Quinlan of the Washington based Center for Transatlantic Relations, Johns Hopkins University, includes the first statistics from the Transatlantic Economy 2008.

Amongst the other statistics of note revealed in the Transatlantic Economy 2008 report are:

● U.S. investment in the Netherlands was greater than in all of developing Asia and in Nafta partners Canada and Mexico

● U.S. investment in Ireland in 2006 was double that in all of South America

● Europe accounts for 75% of all foreign investment in the U.S.

● In 2006 Europe accounted for more than half of total U.S. global profits
